Measure the diameter of pipe or other round items with this pocket-sized caliper. Set the back plate against a round object so that it touches at two contact points. Swing the moveable arm until it touches. The read here edge will indicate the outside diameter in inches and/or nominal pipe size. Caliper measures diameters from 1/16 to 16 and when arm is opened it becomes a fourteen inch ruler.
