French white marans hatching chicken eggs 10+ ~lovely~
The Marans breed, which originated in western France in the town of Marans is best known for its dark chocolate colored eggs. It is a fast grower, dual meat and egg bird and stands confinement well.. White Marans are also excellent when allowed to free range as they do not cause the damage to your garden that some breeds do through heavy scratching.
The original French birds have feathered legs... our White Marans have feathered legs as well...........
Our birds originate from Davis lines.
These birds are so beautiful..the pictures do not do them justice....their shanks are fully feathered as seen in the photographs and these birds have the characteristics for potential "show worthy" offspring...They hold their pure snow white color beautifully and breed true.......
Roosters average 8 lbs. Hens average 7 lbs....This breed like all of our Marans, are calm, quiet and gentle.... These are young, first year layers...rooster to hen ratio is 2 to 8 in this coop......
