This is a precision measuring instrument of the finest quality.
The name Rabone Chesterman tells you anything you needed to know to be sure of the precision of this instrument.
The gauge is capable of measuring 350mm (14"). It comes in its original felt lined fitted box. Every original accessory is in the box, there is nothing missing. It is in immaculate condition.
The height gauge can be set roughly to the correct position using the vertical slide. It then automatically engages with the fine height adjustment mechanism and the arm can be raised or lowered very accurately by using the knurled nut on the base.
The accessories can be attached to the arm to extend the measuring capabilities of the instrument. The accessories are a precision fit.
