This Outback X-240 was purchased just over a year ago for a Solar installation, but was never used or installed.
OutBack X-240 Auto Transformer OutBack X-240, 4 kVA 120/240 Auto Transformer 60 Hz includes two pole 25 amp OBAC breakerThe OutBack X-240 auto-transformer is used for step-up, step-down or for generator and split phase output balancing applications. Includes a 25 amp two pole breaker for manual control and overload protection of the transformer and wiring. Rated up to 4kVA at 25 C without the OutBack cooling fan kit. The X-FAN kit increases the power rating of the X-240 to a maximum of 6kVA continuous. 120 VAC powered.

120 volt/25 amp primary and secondary side
120 or 240 VAC 60 Hz systems only
Allows powering 240 volt items ( e.g., a deep well pump) with a single 120 volt AC source
Step-down feature allows battery charging with both legs of a 240 volt generator through a single 120 volt FX Series Inverter/Charger
