During the day, wheel your poultry out into a new, grassy area of your backyard (read the book, "CHICKEN TRACTORS") then wheel them back in at night, park the chicken run (tractor) up against the hen house to put the girls up for the night. It only took our hens 2 DAYS to quickly learn to hop from the tractor into the hen house at night. We LOVE this design & are proud we invented it ourselves WITHOUT an engineering degree!
