Males and females have combs, faces, wattles and ear lobes that are bright red. Males and females have entirely different, unique, attractive, multi-colored plumage patterns. All Old English Bantams have single combs but males must be dubbed for exhibition. Our Roosters think they are much larger than they are. They have an alert, upright stance and a very confident, "cockiness" to their strut. The Old English Bantams are valued for their upright appearance, alertness and confident personality. A mature male weighs approximately 24 ounces and a mature female will weigh approximately 22 ounces and lay a creamy white egg. The hens are not broody.
