Level / Volume Indicator For Water Tanks
Battery-powered level indicator for measuring the liquid level of water tanks such as rainwater, sewage chambers or slurry tanks from a distance of up to 100 m. After touching the button, display occurs via 10 LEDs in steps of 10 % each (indication 10...100 %). The device is lugged for wall assembly too and requires 2 AA type batteries. There is no current use in standby mode so the only time the batteries are being used is when the check button is pressed. Connection is made via terminals inside the device. A normal signal or comms cable (telephone cable, control wire or the like) with at least 11 cores is necessary to connect to your water tank with the level indicator (cable is not included).
No special probes or expensive sensors are needed
One end of your cable is connected to the Water Level Indicator Module (11pins) and the other end of the cable is fead to the tank. The tank end of the cable is then spliced off at 10% intervals according to the maximim depth of the tank. So, for example, if your water tank is 100cm deep, then you would splice each core of the cable to 10cm steps. This way, as the water level rises or drops, contact is made by the water to each section of cable and the corresponding LEDs on the Meter will light up when the 'Check' button is pressed. The cable can then be held in place with a piece of plastic conduit. The module is ideal for use in high mounted liquid tanks where there is no easy access.
