A quick word of advice about this and any other AC power adapter for the ICF-SW100. Make sure you plug in the adapter ONLY when the receiver's power supply switch has been slid to OFF (the main power switch on the side, not the radio on/off button). If you forget to switch off the main power, the short circuit protection circuitry in the AC adapter senses the sudden surge of current as a potential problem and momentarily shuts down. This means that, for a millisecond or so, the receiver is completely without either battery or mains power. The result is a frozen ICF-SW100, which must be manually reset.
