P.S. Just in case this doesn't go without saying, the tractor shown in the photo is not included.
In the description above I wrote, "The mower has been idle for about 3 years so the PTO shaft will need a bit of cleaning to free it loose." I took a few minutes this morning, along with a little elbow grease and PB (solvent), and cleaned up the PTO shaft. The coupling now moves, and the shaft now slides, freely.
