Rouse hand milling machine reconditioned + fixture
This is a cast iron construction Rouse Hand Miller, manufacured in Chicago, Illinois by HB Rouse & Co. As you can see from the photos, it is in mint condition. I also runs like brand new.It as a 1/4 HP motor, 1725 RPM, and 110 Volt. There are two 4 step pulleys, for 4 speeds. The base measures 18" x 10".
It has dovetail ways. The spindle accepts any tooling with a 1/2" shank. The spindle bearings have just been replaced. They are sealed ball bearings. This unit has been completely disassembled, cleaned, re-conditioned and is ready to use. It also has a spring loaded adjustable clamping fixture to allow for rapid cutting. The fixture has a dovetail slide on vise and is adjustable for precision length cut offs, as well as a swivel for bevel cutting. Have shown many photos to show you the flexibility of this vise. The actual weight of this machine unpackaged is 75 pounds. This is the last one of these I have. It came to me without belt guards, so you will have to make your own. You can afford to set this up for the small jobs and leave it set up, leaving your big machine available. The people I purchased this from were jewelers had several of these, each set up for a special job.
