RCA Isotap WP-25A Variable Isolation Transformer
This is an isolation transformer with both isolated and non-isolated 105VAC, 115VAC and 130VAC outlets. The knob lets you compensate for line voltages from 105 to 130 volts in 5 volt increments. This adjustment can also be used to fine-tune the voltage of any of the outputs above or below nominal.
Like all isolation transformers, the WP-25A provides electrical isolation for safely working on televisions or any other type of electronic equipment with a hot ground.
The adjustable high/med/low outputs provide additional uses that you might otherwise have needed a variac for. If you ve got a vintage amp that you want to run at the 110 volts it was originally designed for, the WP-25A will do it. If you want to run Japanese-market 100 VAC audio or video gear, the WP-25A will do that too.
The power rating of this transformer is 275 watts. The outlets are all two-prong, but the unit has a three-prong cord with ground electrically connected to the case.
This unit is in excellent working condition and is very clean. The medium isolated outlet has been repaired (visible in the photo). The unit has been fully tested. There are a few scratches, but overall cosmetic condition is very good.
