This press was removed from a system that was working when it was parted out, and we verified that the press plate moves up and down smoothly. The pressure to the rams is limited to 125PSI by the regulators, but they are capable of taking up to 250PSI for a theoretical max. force output of 6,280lbs. The big post in the middle of the top plate limits upward travel, but if it were removed, total stroke of the ram could be as long as 7.5". Force output numbers are from the Numatics air cylinder catalog and represent approximate theoretical maximum numbers, not accounting for the press head plate's weight.
