Hewlett-Packard 8569A 22GHz Spectrum Analyzer OPT 001
This unit is a general purpose spectrum analyzer operating from 10MHz to 22GHz. Optional external mixers (not supplied) can be used to extend the upper frequency to 40GHz. There is a digital storage display with on-screen readout of switch settings at the top of the CRT display that keep the operator informed of all switch settings. There is an LED display of center frequency, and a GP-IB interface.

* Video Bandwidth: 1Hz to 3MHz
The analyzer is "NOT CALIBRATED" and has not been fully tested. There do not appear to be any obvious faults when displaying the calibration marker signal and a signal generator input.
1) Signal generator sine wave input around 12.4GHz. The photograph shows the same signal on another spectrum analyzer below the unit. None of the other equipment or cables shown in this photograph are included with the HP8569A.

Recently run for 24hrs continuous without problems.
Generally good condition for age. All knobs and switches mechanically work OK except for:
i) the right hand knob REF LEVEL/INPUT ATTENUATOR. The knob is a bit stiff to pull out and push in. The mechanical display of dBm on the knob occasionally slips probably because the knob is not fully locked in the pull-out and pushed-in position. However, the on screen display shows that the switch is correctly registering the ref level and input attenuator dB level.
ii) the cap is missing off the FREQ SPAN knob.
The screen has a couple of areas where the green background is darker than normal. This could be dust behind the glass protection screen. However, the display is perfectly readable in operation as shown in photo 1.
A few minor scratches and marks on the case.
