This unit just received service prior to this listing. Everything on this microscope works as it should. Some wear in the enamel on the base.
Halogen illumination is from above (reflected light) and fluorescent is from below (transmitted aka diascopic light.) Switches select halogen on/off, fluorescent on/off. Both sources of light can be on at the same time. Halogen is dimmable via the knob on the side of the base.
Item is ready to use right out of the box. (The bulbs are included as spares for future use).
This is the same unit as sold by EdSci, Mitutoyo, and MicroscopeWorld.
