Reproduction of the owner's manual for the Hammarlund HQ-145X shortwave radio receiver. This was one of Hammarlund's better radios. 11 tubes, calibrated bandspread dial, a very attractive face, very easy to operate. Unfortunately, it did not include a product detector, although you could receive SSB signals in the CW mode. It contained an excellent crystal filter and "smart" circuitry to vary the selectivity according to signal strength. Includes general discussion of the operation of the radio, identification of all controls, pertinent diagrams and/or photos, installation suggestions and connections, tube placement chart, schematic diagram to identify all parts, detailed alignment procedure, assistance vital to operating, maintaining and repairing this radio. Printed on quality acid-free bond paper. No HQ-145X owner should be without this manual.
