The Type 79300 and 79400 furnaces are high quality, split, hinged furnaces ideally suited for school, chemical and industrial laboratories. They are intended for applications requiring temperatures up to 1200 Celsius.
* The new 12 (30cm) split tube furnaces include a built-in temperature controller to conserve valuable bench space.
* Units are flexible enough to be mounted horizontally, remotely, or vertically on the optional floor stand (model AY793X1).
* Single zone split tube furnaces heat to 1200 Celsius in only 20 minutes. With exposed coil heating elements embedded in state-of-the-art ceramic fiber insulation.
The furnace chamber is heated by heating elements embedded in a refractory material, with a portion of the elements exposed for maximum heat up and cools down. The split tube design provides ease of loading process tubes and allows a fast cool down. The furnace chamber is supported by the control base, which also houses the electrical connections.
* A door safety switch turns off power to the heating elements each time the chamber is opened for loading or unloading process tubes
* Over temperature protection safeguards valuable research by permitting you to set the desired maximum temperature
* Single zone split tube furnaces are guarded with thermocouple break protection. In case of an open circuit, power is cut off to the elements to avoid an over temperature situation.
