Ocf windom antenna for ham , amateur 80-6M with balun

OCF Windom 80 - 6 MetersNO TUNER REQUIRED!
The AntenX Off Center Fed (OCF) Windom covers 80 - 6 Meters. Complete instructions are included. This antenna is ready to go right out of the box.
The AntenX 7-Band Windom covers 80, 40, 20, 17, 12, 10 and 6 meters, with no turner required! The magic of the Windom is finding the point to feed a dipole so that all bands above the design frequency can be used with an acceptable SWR and be resonant. The OCF design does that. One leg is 90 foot (28m) long and the other led is 45 foot (14m) long, totaling 135 feet (42m).
The center insulator/Balun supplied with this antenna is rated at 1000 watts. No loss from heating caused by undersized wires. The balun is a 4:1 Guanella Current type. It is wrapped on a single Ferrite Toroid and exhibits efficiency of around 97% or better across the designed frequency range.
This insulator brings the wires direct to connect to the antenna rather than attaching to bolts of differing metal and using additional attachment hardware. This reduces loss by maintaining an electrical path of copper rather than some less conductive material like the steel eyebolt's.
By connecting the antenna directly to the copper wires you also reduce loss that would result due to the installation of connectors and the loss from the high resistant steel of the eyebolt's. It also aids in reducing noise that can occur when using the eyebolt's in the electrical path.
OUTSTANDING FEATURES (Others are beginning to copy)
* We have always twisted and soldered our joint.
* Lock washers and lock nuts have always been our standard.
* Our end caps are cannot be removed. They are bonded on permanently.
* Our balun design offers the widest possible frequency range possible.
The wire is 18AWG SOLID Copper Clad Steel. This stuff is strong and will last many years. No stretching or breaking like with soft solid copper. This wire is made for antennas. Our wire has a breaking strength of 280 pounds. More than most other 18 gage copper clad steel wire on the market. Of course the other is much cheaper but we don't build cheap antennas. The breaking strength of 14 gage solid copper Mil-Spec wire is only 124 pounds.
Take a look inside the top section of the insulator. Notice that we use washers on the inside with each eyebolt. This allows it to contact a larger area of the PVC case and provide a stronger installation. Also we use lock nuts with nylon inserts on the inside of the case. This prevents the nuts from coming loose after the case is sealed. Should the outside nut ever become loose all you have to do is hold the eyebolt and turn the nut to retighten. The inside nut is going to stay in place. I have seen other similarly mounted eyebolt's get loosened somehow and with regular bolts inside it's almost impossible to retighten them.
