About a year and a half ago we ran out of space to place more of the old Styrofoam incubators. We started out only with one incubator thinking that would be all that we would ever need for just our own personal use. The next thing we knew we didn't have a room in the house that didn't have an incubator in it.
We ran about a 2 week test on it before ever adding the first eggs. We tested different heat sources and configurations before we finally decided on the finished product which we believe is a really great setup.
With the setup that we have we maintain a 90 - 95% hatch rate. We have been using it about a year now with no problems at all.
All of the eggs that we hatch and raise are listed on the American Livestock Conservancy list either as critical, threatened or are on the watch list so every egg matters.
