Spectra/Chrom Flow Thru UV monitor & controller
This set consists of two modules, a monitor and a controller. The controller has an operate/standby switch, coarse and fine baseline adjust knobs, an absorbance range knob with settings ranging from 0.002 to 2.0, and an absorbance calibration knob. On the back are four wire binding posts (recorder +/-, ground, and integrator), a male 9-pin fraction collector input connector, an unlabelled button, a power connector (110V power cord included), and a 24-contact IB/P connector for the included optical unit. The monitor has a clamp for mounting on a support rod, two front/back pairs of plastic tube connectors (one each for measuring cell A and reference cell B), a filter insert in the middle, a cold room heater on/off switch, an absorbance standard knob (0 to 0.43) and a baseline adjust knob.
When plugged in and turned on the power indicator light comes on. Opening the monitor revealed that the internal light bulb was glowing purple. Peripherals and sample fluids weren't available for further testing.
