This is two pieces of standard neon bulb. It is 0.5mA rated and can be driven from 240V mains with a 390K series resistor. In the picture it is running at slightly less than rated current using 240V mains and a 470k resistor. This is suitable for replacing tired units in mains indicators, making colon dots in nixie clocks or for static discharging of amateur radio or crystal set aerials. The wires are 19mm long.
