Johnsen's Freeze 12 is an alternate refrigerant developed to "REPLACE" freon R-12 and even R-134a in mobile a/c applications.
Performance and efficiency are very similar to R-12.
Thank you for looking at our Freeze 12 a/c kit.
One of the most common questions asked is can Freeze 12 be mixed with R12 or R134a?
There is currently legislation in place that technically makes it illegal to mix refrigerants in this country.
But to answer the question, would a R12 or R134a system work if Freeze 12 was added to it?
However it would not be considered legal to do so.
Any refrigerant left in the system SHOULD first be recovered.
The system should then be leak tested and any leaks found repaired.
The system drier should be replaced if system moisture or contamination is suspected.
Then, locate the low and high side service ports.
The low side is the larger line and the high-side is the smaller line.
REMOVE THE EXSISTING HIGH & LOW SIDE SCHRADER VALVE stems.
Install the new Freeze 12 adapters and label.
The system should then be placed in a vacuum with a vacuum pump for at least 1 hour.
Then the Freeze 12 products added.
The Stop leak, Oil charge then the regular cans as needed.
It would also help to know how much refrigerant you re A/C system holds, this maybe found in the engine compartment or in the technical specifications of the owners manual for that vehicle.
Please keep in mind that 16oz. Equals 1 lb. of refrigerant charge.
Normal operating suction pressure should be between, 35 to 55 psi depending on the outside temperature.

The pressure gauge contained in this kit is a "TEST GAUGE" used to check the "LOW-SIDE" pressure after you have completed charging the system.
Normal opperating pressure with the a/c on and the compressor running, depends on the outside air temperature.
Givin a outside air temperature of 70 to 90 degrees, the pressure should be; 35 to 55 psi on the low-side of the system.
As far as adding the stop-leak, oil charge and Freeze 12 cans, it does not matter what order they are added.
Please read the listing as to how-much Freeze 12 to add.
Please keep in mind that 16 oz. equals 1 lbs.
The Freeze 12 stop leak has a dye charge to help locate any leaks.
All items are added to the low-side of the a/c system. (the larger line)
First charge the oil-charge and all the stop leak.
Add thee Freeze 12 cans as needed to obtain the correct pressure 35 to 55 psi low-side.
The temperature in the vents when the system is fully charged is around 45-50 degrees F.
