Oh, if we could all be this petite and demure. We can still all dream though, can t we? Her measurements are as follows Bust - 32 1/2", Waist - 29 1/2", Hips 32 1/2". She is 31 1/2" long from neck to skirt bottom. The top wooden "ball" portion is 6" from top to the top wood portion of her neck. From the bottom base to the end of wooden interior pole is 10 3/4". So total height from top of ball to end of pole is 48 1/2".
I applied authentic Antique French Newspaper to her, Le Siecle (the Century) dating to 1873. This is the base for her entire body. On top of this I applied various Victorian Fashion Prints from 1891. At that point, I realized she was Still not Finished and knew she needed More!! The Centerpiece Motif is a Scalloped Authentic Antique Satin Wallpaper resplendent with dual toned roses of pink from the 1900 s (not teens or 20's). I applied some of the paper to the shoulder areas, the sides of her waist and above the Stockman Logo, as well. I applied the page of Victorian French Women in the style of the hats of the day underneath her waist this from an 1891 French Fashion Newspaper. On one of her sides, she even has a bold capped heading, " La Revolution Francaise"! After I was done with her front, and then in looking at her backside, I even felt she still needed something more, and so I applied a Victorian Woman sitting in what looks to be a Victorian Garden Setting with a Gazebo Tent Valance billowing over her head. So, if you decide to display her in a window, you will even be able to see a Motif from behind!! HA!
She unfortunately lost her base along the way, but as I am sure you realize, that these can be purchased for about $25 or so, or perhaps even less. I decided to display her in a shabby Tin Jardinere surrounded with roses. Unfortunately, this as well as all of her accoutrements are for display only and not for sale. I wanted to capture her Never Ending Versatile Beauty, thus the adornment lest there be any doubt!! Besides, I was having just too much fun with Her. Oh, if we could all stay young and beautiful forever as she has managed to do!!
