The box looks as if has been setting around for a long time, but it is in a factory box. The PIT15 has a rain-tight enclosure, with a 10' capillary tube 1/16" in diameter and a bulb at the end .290" in diameter, 2 1/2" long. Temperature range 0 - 150 , SPDT Switch
The installation page has applications as: typically used to control temperature of fluids conveyed through pipes, (commonly termed pipe tracing) or heat trace.
