This item was received in a load of salvage freight recently. They are brand new in the original factory packages, however we have been unable to locate any information at the Snap-Tite website about these part numbers. Both the male and female parts are valved so the flow is stopped on both sides when they are disconnected. The release sleeve of the coupler must be pulled back to connect the nipple. To disconnect, simply pull the release sleeve backward and the nipple pops out. I'm not an expert, but it appears they might be designed to disconnect under pressure. The material is steel, and they look fairly strong, but there is nothing whatsoever to indicate the exact pressure rating.
