This nifty hand-held device determines the presence or absence of 50-1000 volts Alternating Current in insulated wires, wall receptacles, fuses, junction boxes, switches and other voltage carrying electrical systems. There is no need to disconnect the system before testing because no contact is required. Just touch the plastic tip to a connection point or move it along a wire. If AC voltage is present the tip will glow red and you will hear an audible tone.
There is no on/off switch so its always ready to use! Requires 2 AAA alkaline batteries. (INCLUDED!)
Weights 40.6 grams (with batteries) and measures 5-3/4" long by 3/4" in diameter.
