Beautiful hand made custom prof rabbit hutch / barn~wow
Up for your consideration is this beautiful, yet very sturdy, simple and extremely functional custom hand made rabbit hutch...this unit can also double as a chicken coops, brooder, etc! The unit pictured below is the one currently being offered. Paint schemes and other changes can be made as every one is custom built to order.
Our units are all made of solid wood, and plated hardware to avoid corrosion, and lengthen the life of our awesome units!
We use only the best materials, including welded hardware wire (instead of the dangerous & tacky chicken coop type wire). Additionally, the cage wire is fastened INSIDE the structure, not just stapled to the outside, giving it a more custom and finished look! Most units you find out there have 1"x2" cage wire, which can be dangerous to smaller animals, as their feet can get easily stuck...our 1/2 x 1/2 welded cage mesh avoids this altogether!
We use 2 x 2 construction or better depending on needs and size. Most you will see are only using 1 x 2 or even worse construction which over a short period of time will rot and deteriorate, leaving you needing another unit after a short period of time. Expect to pay $200-400 for a store bought unit with poor construction, and definitely not built to last.
The unit in the pictures below is most popular as a rabbit hutch, but also easily doubles as an aviary, reptile cager, ferret habitat, chicken house, etc. It is made of primarily 2 x 2 wood construction. To the right is a completely covered housing area to allow bunny to get away from elements such as rain, etc. The roof is an actual pitched style with REAL shingles, and has overhang on all sides to further keep elements out. Left side and full front are open to air flow with 1/2" x 1/2" welded hardware wire. Beware of other units made with weaved mesh or aviary wire as animals can either get stuck, or chew their way in (or out)!!! The unit pictured below is of adequate size for several rabbits (or more)! Additionally, the one pictured in this ad is aesthetically enhanced with professional exterior paint on the eves, trim and flat panels. We also used industrial quality redwood stain on most of the exterior pieces of wood, and leave some wood bare for a striking contrast and appearance enhancement.
The bottom is also open (welded wire floor) to allow waste to fall to the ground instead of collecting on the bottom, making a stinky mess and potentially making your animals sick. A tray can be added for an extra charge - trays are generally about $30-35 (our cost, and we have them professionally fabricated for our cages).
We can also supply these units with commercial grade drinking apparatus, eating bins, hay mangers, nesting beds, etc...all of professional quality. The one you see below measures 55 inches tall, 51 inches wide, and 36 inches deep (overall dimensions including roof). The inner cage dimensions (actual) are 45 inches, 2 feet high (not including open attic space from roof), and 2 feet deep. Remember, these notes are just for the unit below, and we can make pretty much anything you want. This one is just a guideline based on popularity.
These are built in san Diego County (Southern California), but can deliver all over Southern California for a fee.
