Sharp electronic cash register xe-1055 working, manual
Nice working Sharp Cash Register, suitable for small business. Model XE-1055. I purchased this from the estate of a craft shop owner.
This has a ribbon that still prints but light. Prints "Your Receipt" in red and the rest in black. Replacements readily available, and I will include a new spool of red/black typewriter ribbon. (It is correct size ribbon but a larger spool, so it will need to be re-spooled onto the cash register spools.)
Can be programmed for proper sales tax, departments, etc, and will generate reports. These are print only, no computer connections.
It has four bill compartments, with spring-clips, and five coin compartments.
Includes ONE key to turn on and select functions. I do not have a drawer key, it is unlocked. (Open using the register function, or release underneath if power off.) Drawer key is standard, available from various sources for a few bucks, if you want to lock it.
The manual and quick-start guide (paper) are actually for the XE-A101 which has a few additional features, such as battery power. (This model is AC only.) Also the XE-A101 uses the key to select functions, instead of a sliding switch as shown in the manual. I purchased this manual online from a Sharp dealer who assured me it is the correct one to use.
Added 4-25-10: Improvement in the offering: I found a new unoppened two-pack of replacement twin-spool red/black ribbons (Porelon brand, #11210) among my treasures. So the winner of this listing will get that instead of the typewriter spool I mentioned in the description.
