The DSAM Wavetek Series Field Meter family provides a combination of DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS cable modem installation meters for the on-site installation and service of high-speed data and video services.
Using exclusive digital signal processing and integrated DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS chipset technology, the meter communicates with the network CMTS to verify suitable conditions for cable modem installation from the subscriber s location. The DSAM is also equipped with signal level meter capabilities, including spectrum scanning for ingress assessment and mini-scan analysis of up to twelve analog and/or digital channels. The meter s AutoTest capability makes installations easier and more reliable than ever before.
JDS Uniphase Corporation has incorporated exclusive DSP, DOCSIS, and analog technology to enhance your DSAM s usability and provide significant flexibility as additional features become available. Upgrading the meter can be as simple as downloading a file from the Internet and installing it onto the device using optional FDM utility software.
