Item powers up and is in good condition. I don't have any calibration standards, but I tested several fluids and it responded as expected. The LCD display is a little faint. Also, there is a tear in the rubber boot where the electrode plugs into the unit. This does not affect performance, but it is not totally waterproof. This can be taped if needed.
