Tesla coil, Spark Type with Discharge Wand. Provide your own HV transformer. Unit
is tuned and has been tested up to 9,000 Volt / 30 ma input. This coil will operate from a neon transformer as low as 3,500 Volts / 8 ma to a maximum of 9,000 Volts / 30 ma. Note that if the transformer has a built-in GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter) that the RF from the coil will trip the GFI and disconnect the transformer from the line voltage. Secondary is machine wound and has several coats of clear enamel, the terminal is 1-7/8" in diameter. The MMC capacitor assembly is rated at 12 kV. The adjustable Spark Gap is brass and steel. Base is finished oak 5-1/2" x 8" x 3/4" with soft plastic feet. The unit is 14" tall and the weight is 3-1/2 Pounds. A copy of my High Voltage Project Manual and a High Voltage Discharge Wand is included with the sale of this coil.
