Speedfloor is a composite steel joist/concrete floor/roof system. It is a very strong and easy to install method. Radient heat pipes can be installed to allow heat and thermal mass to be installed in any location.
- 6 pieces: 20' 8"span - $450 each - $2128 for all
- 15 pieces: 14' 9" span - $320 each - $3759 for all
* These series 400 joists were to be used to create a factory floor. A 5" 3500 psi slab with 6"x6" #6 wire mesh was to be used with these. This floor was rated to handle heavy forklift traffic and heavy industrial presses. The presses would have created significant jarring and vibration as well. These could be used for floors, roof, porches.
Each joist comes with the factory "shoe", bolts, nuts and washers to hang them.
Note: The joists can be cut down to shorter lengths very easily with a saws-all.
Please check the design and installation information at http:// /crosssections.html. This system is very easy and fast to use. The heaviest trusses can easily be moved by two people. You often don't need a crane to install these. The roll bars needed for installation can be rented from many places. The plywood used is removed and reusable. These are installed 4' 4 1/4" on center. The plywood needs to be 48" wide. The whole system is fire rated as well.
I have certified drawings for the building these were bought for. You can install these with any type of construction not just ICF. You are still able to install in floor radiant heat using these as well. These are new trusses and in perfect condition.
