Hardened .500 diameter center punch.
Machined aluminum drill bar with 1/4" graduations to 5" with 5/16 width slot
Hardened .500" I.D. bushing that accepts standard slip fit renewable drill bushing.
With this tool the craftsman can drill accurate linear hole patterns using
the graduated bar up (all of 5"). The 1/4" graduation are based from the center hole(i.e 1/2" drill bushing.
The 3/4 O.D.bulls eye with clarity and ease shows your layout lines crisply. Magnified generously the craftsman can set the tool up and centerpunch quickly with less hassle.
The hardened .500 i.d. bushing accepts standard 'slip fit renewable drill bushings' available though MSC or Travers Tool Supply or through your local distributor. These are available in standard sizes from 5/32" to 11/32". Using this approach the craftsman would (1)site his layout lines using the cross on the optical magnifier, (2) bolt or clamp the drill bar securely to the work, (3) replace with a standard slip fit renewable bushing (optionally purchased, (4) drill the hole and move to the next set of layout lines.
The attractive tray (8" x 5") is made from MDF (medium density fiber board) and stained dark walnut . It will fit nicely in a rollaway drawer 2" deep. Ruggedly built, this tray will keep your tools protected for years to come
