Over ten years of development have produced the TD-2000 modular OTDR. Unsurpassed for flexibility, a single mainframe
can be used for all applications, from high resolution single-mode and multimode testing, to a combination module for both
high resolution and long haul testing. The TD-2000 Optical Time Domain Reflectometer operates by firing a pulse of light into

FLEXIBILITY: The TD-2000 system is made up of a single mainframe and a series of optical modules. Mainframe
functions include data collection, display and storage. Each optical module contains one or two lasers and a detector
optimized for specific fiber tests, such as the 1244nm TD-293s for hydrogen evolution testing of submarine cables.
Users need to learn only one set of controls, regardless of the application.
COMPATIBILITY: Our philosophy is simple: use industry standards whenever possible. The control panel layout is the

on the TD-2000. The MS-DOS@ operating system used in the TD-2000 is the same one used on many desktop

INTERCHANGEABLE OPTICAL MODULES High Resolution Optical Modules are used primarily in testing fiber optic
systems where features such as connectors and splices are closely spaced. These modules are optimized at very pulse
width for minimum event dead zones without sacrificing dynamic range. All of these modules provide measurement of
Fresnel and backscatter events, allowing detection f connectors, mechanical splices, fusion splices and fiber loss per
