Binding books with your new Power Coil machine involves 3 simple steps:
2. Use POWER roller to zip the coil across the book
3. Cut and crimp the ends of the spiral.
#1: Punch the sheets for your books. Make sure your pages are all the way against the back wall and completely flush against the side guide. Don't try to punch more pages than recommended for your machine.
#2: Use POWER roller to zip the coil across the book
#3: Cut and crimp the coils (Easy process. Please see following instruction)
Right Handed - Use the pliers in your right hand and crimp the right side of the book first.
A. Hold the pliers so the red dot is face up.
B. Align the pliers so the teeth are just below the center of the coil.
C. Squeeze the pliers to cut the coil and keep closed. (bend will better if you twist coil end to inside book)
D. Release the pliers, flip the book over and crimp the other side using the same procedure.
Left Handed - Use pliers as described above but hold them in your left hand and put the red dot down.
General instruction: Coil size (inside diameter) should be two or three mm larger than the book thickness.
