Helium neon laser ( hene he ne yag CO2 argon diode)
This is a working Helium Neon Laser Tube, matching Laser Power Supply with ballast resistor, Three Glass surface reflective mirrors, and two Collimating Glass lenses. Lenses appear to be AR coated. Nice collection for the experimenter. With the proper power source, this system will work out of the box. Please read entire description.
Pictures represent the items that will be delivered. I did not take a picture of each system being sold and the small mirror does not have a flaw, just came out that way in the pic.
Output wavelength is 633nm @ around 1mw, TEM00, and not sure of the divergence but has a tight beam and with the collimating lenses makes a nice adjustable beam. Tube length is 5 from HR to OC, and tube is 1 diameter.
Power supply is 3 x 1 x output >1100VDC @ around 4 mA and has a TTL positive enable input and a 15 VDC TTL output. Detailed instructions will be included.
Could be assembled in a clear plastic case demonstrating a plasma discharge laser, for teaching, or to put on display next to that Nixie Tube Clock or your other plasma discharge devices. Has a nice warm glow and the plasma discharge along the bore looks like a mini light saber Vary Cool!
To power the laser you will need not included a 12VDC power source @500ma. Most 12 volt wall warts will do or an 8-cell AA battery pack.
Other uses: Holography or aiming laser for your YAG. I do this through bore on some of my YAG systems. Alignment is real easy this way and the EMP from firing the lamp does not bother the hene. Kills those diode lasers if not totally shielded, found that out too I have also used these for aligning the mirrors in other laser cavities. Works great.
The laser power supply could be used to charge your small YAG capacitor bank and trigger circuit.
