The inductor switch is the most likely component to burn up in any antenna tuner. MFJ's inductor switch in the MFJ-948 was custom designed to withstand the extremely high RF voltages and currents that are developed in your tuner
Lets you select two coax fed antennas, random wire/balanced line or external dummy load (not included) through your MFJ-948 or direct to your transceiver
Full Size Lighted Cross Needle Meter
Has MFJ's full size 3 inch lighted Cross Needle Meter (not a puny "meter" you can't read). Lets you easily read SWR, true peak forward and average reflected power simultaneously on 300 Watt or 30 Watt ranges. Lamp has on/off switch, requires 12 VDC or 110 VAC with the MFJ 1312D

Tuner was seldom used and sat in the shack for a period of time out of line
I have decided it would serve someone better than it has for me unused
I had used it with my Kenwood TS-850 and 930 which generated 90-100 watts output
I have only used the coax function for transmitting never applying power to the balun
I did once connect a long wire to the balanced-wire feed for receiving on shortwave it functioned as designed in that position
The meter back light lamp has not been used
There are just a few very light slight scratches on cabnet, a result of sitting on the shack desk
The front panel, meter face, and knobs as-new and have no cosmetic flaws or issues to report
! ...... Also included DC power supply to power the meter lamp!
I am including plenty of pictures as well as hi-resolution full screen image links below each picture, for you to get a real up close view to allow you to make your own determination of its condition
I also opened her up to display the inside to assure no signs of abuse
