Getting the job done, November 19, 2008
"Excellent hardwood floor nailer (cleat model) with a history of quality and durability. Ufortunately that quality comes at a price. It is considerably more expensive than some of the off-shore no name varieties. If you enjoy quality and recognize the benifits in getting the job done well, this one is for you."

"I have rented a variety of flooring nailers over the years and always come back to the Stanley. Several months ago I purchased this product for my latest flooring job (through a great sale at the Home Depot) and wasn't disappointed. The product is quality made and is unlikely to cause any problems. Unlike the less expensive versions, it is less prone to jambing and air leaks and a truly dependable tool."

"I'm strictly a home owner, but have rented the miiifn twice now. In general I have been extremely happy with it. Occasionally (especially at the end of a very long day) I will not do something wrong and end up with a nail only partially in (suspect its my fault) I have been just breaking them off. Kind of annoying when I don't monitor how many cleats are left and end up having the last one kick out on the floor. However its amazing to watch how one can straighten out warped boards with this nailer. Caution on your swings right up close to the wall (I had the back of the mallet make a few pock marks in the wall when I was trying to get right in close to the wall). I liked the nailer to the point that I just picked one up used. The only thing I don't like about renting is that I always try to get it all done in 24hours and end up being trashed at the end."
