Quartz Contemporary desk clock, {Honey Maple and Black Finishes}
I have opened item in order to inspect and test it to make sure it works. I added a DOUBLE A battery {takes one}, and it works indeed, keeping great time, with a very quiet pulse type sound. {I am including/leaving battery}. Inside box there is no instructions, so just for the info, the clock face pushes out {just gently push with a screwdriver or even a pen, and it pops out, and has an elastic band to seal it back in tight after you replace battery or set time. For freshness date: BATTERY INSERTED ON MARCH 4, 2010 at 4:10 pm)The face has a thin plastic protective cover to avoid scratches {just remove upon receipt}. measures approx 10 and 4/8 by 5 1/2 inches.
