The XyDrive XD14 high speed parallel port breakout board was designed to interface CNC equipment such as stepper motor controls with a PC. The XD14 uses new digital isolation technology which provides for signal transfer rates of up to 1MHz with very little signal timing distortion. This is far superior to optical isolators which introduce significant timing distortion into the signal path. That timing distortion must then be compensated for, usually by decreasing the pulse rate, to maintain the timing requirements of the driver. With the high speed XD14 you will no longer need to worry about this compensation. The XD14 has been tested to work with both EMC2 and Mach3 and is fully compatible with other CNC software packages as well.
