The electronic group response system can be used in very flexible and creative ways
to make your lectures, conferences or other events more interactive and to provide
software, it takes very little time to create multiple choice questions on your own
office PC. You can then create your
multiple choice questions and save them to floppy disk, which you can bring along to
your lecture where you can run your presentation.
Fleetwood Reply CRS930 Wireless Audience Response Base Station
This transceiver handles up to 250 Reply CRS1200 keypads on any of eight user-selectable channels, for a total Reply system capacity of up to 2000 keypads per room or site.
Adding keypads to an existing Base Station requires them to be set to new, unused addresses. No change is required on the Base Station when keypads of the same radio channel are added.
The Base Station scans each keypad in sequence for a duration of 1/100th of a second. Within each brief time slice, it simultaneously determines a keypad s identification and processes its response information.
This look, listen, verify routine is both intelligent and fast. Polling cycles are adjustable for optimizing speed to group size. For example, a group of 50 keypads can be sampled every one-half second, whereas an audience of 2,000 per room or site can be sampled every 3 seconds.
The base station is controlled by a high-performance microprocessor and external permanent memory for storage of setup parameters and keypad addresses.

This keypad works with the Reply CRS930 base station for applications including basic electronic polling, delegate voting, group decision making, market research, classroom learning, and game shows.
It features a soft-touch sealed membrane switch panel with 12 tactile keys. Ten keys are numbered 1-10; additional key markings include A-E on keys 1-5, and Yes and No on keys 1-2. Clear and user-defined asterisk keys provide additional functions.
Since the keypad uses power only when transmitting and acknowledging an entered response, a 9-volt battery provides sufficient power for over 10,000 responses. The unit's bright, seven-segment LED visible even in reduced lighting conditions flashes rapidly when power for about 100 responses remains.
A proprietary radio communication system provides secure, barrier-free operation between keypads and their associated Base Station. Each keypad has a unique radio frequency (RF) address between 1 and 250. Combining this address feature with a patented response verification routine provides additional security. User input validation is shown when the Base Station has accepted the response, while integrated error checking ensures accurate communication of responses and control functions.
Keypads operate independently of each other, and keypad addresses are programmable. Additionally, keypads may be password-enabled to protect configuration.
