As you see in the picture it has gold plated leads and you can see GOLD leads inside the EPROM window. The window is clear plastic or glass like
There is also some sort of paper ID tag on it.
I have found that cigarette lighter fluid (in the yellow plastic "can") works great for removing many labels.
