Model V8300H-1 housing is specially designed for outdoor use. It accommodates most CCTV camera/lens combinations.
Accessories for the V8300H-1 include a thermostatically-controlled blower and heater to maintain operating temperature limits and a sunshield (Model V8300H-S) to protect against extreme exposure. Refer to Table 2 for a complete list of heater and blower options.
The V8300H-1 employs a unique dual-acting cover that can be opened from either side by unlatching the two latches on any one side and lifting the cover upward. The cover remains securely fastened to the housing on the other side. If all four latches are opened, the cover can be removed entirely.
These features permit easy access to the system for servicing from either side of the housing.
The V8300H-1 housing meets NEMA 3 and IP54 standards of weatherproofing.
Contactors Specification - The housing shall be an environmental camera enclosure offering weather protection to 2/3-in. and 1-in. format camera/lens combinations. The housing shall meet the requirements for a NEMA 3 and IP54 enclosure. The housing shall be constructed of structural-foam molded plastic and shall meet appropriate CE standards. The maximum camera/lens dimensions shall be: length, with transformer, 14.0 in. (35.6 cm); length, without transformer, 16.5 in. (41.9 cm); width, 5.5 in. (14.0 cm); height, 4.5 in. (11 cm). Servicing of the camera/lens package shall be facilitated by pairs of latches on each side of the housing. When same-side pairs are unlatched, it shall be possible to open the top, pivoting it on the other side, which remains securely hinged. If all four latches are opened, it shall be possible to remove the top entirely. The following options shall be available: thermostatically-controlled heater; thermostatically-controlled blower; sunshield. The 18-in. environmental housing shall be from Vicon s model series V8300H-1.
