Every time you encounter a stripped stud or screw you'll be glad you have a supply of these! They make quick work of mounting electronic assemblies and components on long studs - threaded or unthreaded! Simply push them down the stud with a nut driver, give it a turn or so, and you're done. The reverse angle of the center grip teeth prevent the nut from backing off, providing amazing strength and holding power.
A 1/8" drill bit passes through these without resistance, thus a 1/8" diameter screw or stud would be too small to grip properly. Anything in the range of 5/64" to several thousandths larger will work nicely.
