John Deere rollover flip plow. 3 bottom, 16-inch.
It's probably in better condition than most, worse than some. No coulters. One moldboard and shin are cracked/broken. One share has a busted point. To my eye, the plow doesn't show a lot of wear. The plow apparently fell over into a pile of something or a "puddle" and layed that way long enough for the corrosion you see in the pictures to set in, but nothing is bad enough it shouldn't clean up okay. The worst of the "rust" is on one of the coulter brackets and the lower half of the flip motor that you can see in the photos and on what appears to be a cable clamp underneath the hitch you can't see. Both hydraulic hoses have been pinched off. I'm sure the flip motor needs a good going through.
I bought this to convert into a 2 bottom plow and do the garden with. But, I've decided there might be easier ways to do that so this is back up for sale.
The plow is located near Pleasant Hill, MO (SE of Kansas City). It's available for inspection anytime, just email for directions. I have a loader tractor here and I can drop the plow on whatever you bring to haul it home with.
Added 11May10: I'll get down to John Deere by the end of this week and get them to figure out what model plow this is. By then, I'll also break open the hydraulic actuator motor to make sure the open hoses didn't let moisture into the motor and mess anything up. I said above this thing was laying over into a pile of something or a puddle but it doesn't really look like rust you'd expect from a puddle. It looks more like the plow spent time laid over into a pile of lime or something.
