Vintage ge thomson alternating ammeter - 1900S

Vintage GE Thomson Alternating Ammeter - 1900s
You are viewing a nice Antique Thomson Ammeter by General Electric. The ammeter is attached to a wonderful mahogany wood base. This also comes in it's original wooden box with a document attached to the top dated 1900. The document reads:
This instrument is intended to be used in a horizontal position. It is practically correct for alternating currents of any frequency form.
Standardized at the Lynn laboratory April 20, 1900
signed: WJ Lloyd in charge of testing".
The ammeter measures 6" x 6" and 4" thick.
The wood carrier box measures 7" x 7" x5".
The condition is very good considering it's age. I do not know how or if it still works.
