Marks bleed through solvent-based or oil-based paints
* For fabricating structural steel or layout work where the marks are required to bleed through a primer coat covering the marks.
* To prevent bleeding through the finish coat, seal the marked areas with water-based exopy paint
* For marking under water-based primers use the BL-W Paintstik .
* Temperature range: -50F to 150F (-46C to 66C).

Advantages of Solid Paint Markers versus Valve Action Markers
* More cost effective. Typical valve action paint markers contain 8 to 10 cc of paint and sell for between $1.50 and $3.00. Solid paint markers are solid paint and contain as much as 10 times the volume and sell for around the same amount, $1.00 for Markal B paintstiks and $3.15 for Sakura Solid Paint Markers. Measured by the foot of writing, solid paint markers are up to 5 times less expensive. (Plus that our prices in our listing are much lower than the published prices of other retailers)
* Can be used to write on rough surfaces such as masonry, corrugated paper, wood, rusted or rough metal surfaces. Valve action markers use a felt or fiber tip that tears when writing on rough surfaces.
* Contain no solvents and are not flammable. Most valve action paint markers contain flammable solvent carriers that enhance the bonding capabilities of the paint and allow fast drying. Solid paint markers contain little if any solvents.
* Are available in retractable holders so users can use the entire contents.
