Brainlab vectorvision image guided surgery system

Image Guided Surgery System & Laptop
I bought this Image Guided Surgery System in June 2009 and it has been wrapped up in the corner of my warehouse ever since. I am just getting around to selling it.
The tags read the last BrainLab inspection was 6/2007 and the last Biomed inspection expired 2/2008. I believe this system sold for well over $200,000 new. I can t find a date of manufacture and believe it was manufactured sometime between 2002-2005. The only obvious issue I can find is the yellow cosmetic cover plate that hides the CPU at the base is missing.
It is a large machine on wheels with the Vector Vision dual camera head and a 17 touch screen monitor mounted on articulating arms. It has a built in CPU w/ Zip Drive and also comes with a Fujitsu Siemens Notebook Pentium III laptop computer. The laptop powers up and I was able to navigate the software easily. It is loaded with brainlab software and comes with an external CD-Rom Drive, power supply, soft case and a two zip disks.
The Brainlab does power up and the touch screen displays Check Cable or Signal .
I also called BrainLab technical support and was advised this system is still supported and can be used for a variety of surgery applications depending on the software installed. I did find some Neurosurgery files on the laptop and zip drives but I don t have a clue what software is installed. The technician I spoke with stated a replacement cover plate is available and it would be possible to get this system up and running.
I have posted a lot of pictures and can send more if you need them. I suggest calling BrainLab for any technical questions because my knowledge is limited. I am willing to do additional testing if you want to walk me through it.
I don t know the history of this device but BrainLab can probably tell you.
Serial No: 00-065-16 000-115
Vector Vision Dual Camera Head
Fujitsu Siemens PIII/Intel/NT Notebook Laptop (Scenic 750 AGP)
Last BrainLab Inspection: 6/2007
Last Biomed Inspection Expired: 2/2008
What you see is exactly what you get. I don t see any visible damage other than the missing cover panel at the base of the unit. The Brainlab does power up and the touch screen displays check cable or signal . I tried plugging the video cable into a monitor and couldn t get it display anything? The CPU in the bottom of the unit powers up and I can hear the internal cooling fans running. The laptop powers up and I was able to easily navigate the software. A date and time error code displayed. The laptop battery seems to be holding a charge ok. No other testing has been done. Only comes with what is pictured. There are no manuals or any other accessories included. Brainlab technical support advised me it would likely be feasible to get it up and running.
As always, I stand behind everything I sell and I guarantee this BrainLab is exact to the pictures and description I have provided here.
