System Description: This system is designed to be used on both CNC Vertical and Horizontal Machines in addition to tapping, drilling, milling, or measuring machines. The idea is to quickly change a set up from one job to another or from one operation to another. With the Micro Pallet System MPS-31, this change over can be accomplished in 15 seconds.
The system comes with (1) Micro Pallet Base, (2) Cast Aluminum Pallets and (8) Retention Stud Assemblies.
Here is how the system is used:
1. Permanently mount the Micro Pallet Base in the production machine.
2. Mount the part to be machined on the Aluminum Pallets. Once the first part is mounted to the aluminum pallet, you can then install the pallet onto the Pallet Base in the machine. You simply place the pallet on the base with the locating pins and turn the handle on the base to clamp the pallet in place. You can now machine the part.
3. While the 1st part is being machined, you can mount the next part to the second pallet so that it is ready for machining when the 1st part is completed. When the 1st part is completed, remove it from the base and install the pallet for the 2nd part onto the base. This should take approximately 15 seconds. Once the 2nd part is installed on the base, you can machine it and begin preparation of the 3rd part. This process keeps repeating until all parts are completed.
