* The COM-32SF Control Board is NIB, the board is still sealed in the factory ESD wrap, a DB25 to DB25 cable is included and still sealed in the factory wrap. The contents are in factory packed condition and the board is CE Marked.
* The 8-Port External UART Module is NIB with a mounting kit in a ziplock bag. The contents are in factory packed condition. This unit is also CE Marked and the back is labeled Version 2.0, C32044.
* The External CPU Module is NIB with two mounting kits in ziplock bags. The contents are in factory packed condition and this unit is also CE Marked.
* The COM-32SF(PC) Manual is bent from being packed as shown and has two cosmetic cuts approx. 2 long in the cover that extend into about 3 pages. The cover also shows a little yellowing around the perimeter. Inside is printed: November 1993 (1st Edition). This is a 2-in-1 manual, Part B is the API-232 RS-232 Application Programming Interface User s Manual, October 1993 (1st Edition).
* The one included 3.5 diskette is described above, I m not sure if it is missing any additional disks, but the manual references diskettes and drivers for DOS/Windows and UNIX, so the UNIX software may be missing.
The following is a description of this unit from the manual:
The COM-32SF (PC) is an intelligent 8 to 32 port RS-232 Serial interface card that provides high-performance serial I/O. It allows up to 128 ports to be used in one AT/ISA bus 386/486 based personal computer system. It is composed of a control card, housed in the host computer, an external CPU Module and up to (4) UART Modules. The control card and CPU Module work together to decrease the workload on the host computer s CPU for increased communication performance. An RS-422 synchronous line of up to 100 m (328 ft) links the control card with the CPU Module. The UART Module connects to the CPU Module, providing (8) RS-232 Ports. Additional UART Modules can then be chained into the original UART Module for a total of 32 RS-232 Ports. The status of the communication lines is displayed on a series of diagnostic LED Indicators on the CPU Module.
