S.B. "Your gauge is an air pressure test gauge. It goes on the air hose of a train to check the air pressure." S.B.
S.B. ; It couples to the the end of a air hose that put compressed air through the train to control the air brakes. The gauge is used to determine that they have enough air pressure for the brakes to work correctly.
Vintage Piece NOT SURE IF ITS A WORKING GAUGE.. FRONT FACE HAS A SHIELD THAT READS ACROSS IT ASHCROFT ( OLD VINTAGE ASHCROFT LOGO NOT THE NEWER ONE ) . GAUGE & BRASS FITTING 1-100 , GLASS FRONT . NOT SURE WHAT THIS WAS USED FOR A BOILER MAYBE... SOME SORT OF THERMODYNAMICS, PRESSURE ? COULD BE TEMP? FRONT FACE MEASURES 2" . ALL BACK SCREWS HERE . BRASS FITTING AT BOTTOM OF GAUGE THREADS LOOK GOOD. AND IS ATTACHED TO A PIECE OF METAL ( UNKNOWN ) THAT IS SORT OF LIKE A CLAMP. THAT ARM MEASURES 3.75" NEEDLE IS RESTING AND FIX 0. THE CENTER COUPLING READS IMICO AAR & ON THE BACK OF THE COUPLING IT HAS 4 / 300 / MALL
